The reason I still have a Wii: Comes tomorrow

MP3

That’s right, tomorrow the game I bought the Wii for comes out. That game is Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Pushed back almost a year from it’s original intended date of launch, the game built from the ground up with the Wii controls in mind comes to us August 28, 2007. I can’t exactly describe in words how excited I am for this game. I’ve played every…EVERY Metriod game in existance and have beaten them all with the exception of Metroid Prime: Hunters; which I do intend to beat.

I love everything about the Metroid series from the exploration of vast levels, leveling up Samus, the epic boss battles, and even backtracking. Yes, I like backtracking. I’ve been playing BioShock but that’s going to have to be put on hold until I beat Corruption. If you’ve never played a Metroid game, I’d advise you to head over to GameTrailers and check out there 5 part Metroid Retrospective. If you don’t want to watch all five, at least watch the last one. It’s worth it.

The best reviewed 360 title is coming home next week.

If you haven’t heard of it, played the demo, or live under a rock Bioshock is the next best thing to come to the Xbox 360 this fall. Sure you’ll have Halo 3, Assassins Creed, COD4, and Blue Dragon to play this fall, but before those arrive you should really pick this game up. I was on the fence on if I was going to buy this game but after the demo I was sold. Check out this review by IGN and get ready to be excited. You have been warned.

It happened again!

Here lies my 3rd 360 that’s going back to the house that built it: Microsoft. Am I upset? Not really, as long as I get it back before September 25th, 2007 I’m okay. Continue Reading »

Sousaphone Hero

Sousaphone Hero

Great article. [link]

Despite a catchy 1890s soundtrack and realistic-feeling game play, Sousaphone Hero, the third installment of Activision’s massively popular Guitar Hero video game franchise, sold a mere 52 copies in the United States in its opening week, the company reported Monday.

“That controller is like 100 pounds even though its [sic] only plastic,” wrote mastagamer457, a moderator on one Sousaphone Hero message thread. “I think I screwed up my shoulder pretty bad.”

lol.
