Here at Lawn of the Month, we like to touch on all aspects of the video game world. With so much negative feedback and press towards an industry that we see a lot of good in, it’s always nice to share a story, or in this case a link, that reflects the good that video games bring to the world.

I originally saw this YTMND in a forum and quickly dismissed it because frankly, I hate that site. But I saw it again on Digg and decided to check it out. This is a great story about a child and his mom who played Animal Crossing. I’m not going to spoil it for you but you can check the story out here. Unless you are just a heartless person, the story should be emotionally moving. I hope the general press picks this up because it’s a great example of how video games can and do warm the heart .
